Join the showdown and sign your team up today for the area's biggest chili cook off! Everyone thinks they have the best best chili. Now its time to prove yours is the best. This will be the most fun time you've ever had making chili!

Teams are required to prepare their chili completely from start to finish in their booth. When the doors open to the public, each team serves just a little at a time as people meander around trying each team's recipe. All while listening to some great live music.

We've added a new award category! Due to many requests the People's Choice will now be based on taste votes by the public, and the Big Bowl Award will be for most funds raised. Therefore awards are given in four categories: Grand Champion Chili, People's Choice, Big Bowl and Best Booth.

Please note: The Big Bowl Award is now entirely based on how much money the team raises. While this event is a contest for the best chili recipe, our primary objective is to raise money for the Boys and Girls Club and we ask for your help in this endeavor.

Special Awards:

If you belong to a particular group and would like to create a special competition award, we will consider it if there are at least three teams in your group. For instance: A competition between Contractors, or Greek Organizations, or Public Servants (Fire, Police, and EMTs) etc. Please let us know your idea and work with you as best as we can. An extra fee of $15 per team will be assessed.

• Early registration fee is $125 and must be made by December 31st, 2011.
• Registrations made after January 1st, 2012 are $150.
• All teams must be registered by January 26th, 2012.
• Teams can have from 1 to 8 members.
• Team captain will receive a free T-shirt.
• Team Orientation Meeting: At least one member from each team is required to attend a meeting on January 26, 2012 at 6pm at the Holiday Inn Select.

We will hold a team meeting the evening of Jan. 26th, 2012 at 6pm at the Holiday Inn Select to walk through the event, answer questions, explain the rules and provide tips on how to make your setup go easy. At least one representative from each team will be required to attend.
